The president is the chief officer of the conference and takes the lead in the effort to cast a unified vision for expanding God’s Kingdom in its territory. He facilitates strategic planning and articulates such to the conference membership. He provides spiritual and organizational leadership for the constituency. Through the Executive Committee, he seeks to coordinate and effectively govern all of the various avenues of church work within the conference. He chairs numerous boards and committees to further church unity and mission. He also represents Chesapeake at other levels of the denomination’s organizational structure, and is involved with the governance of the Adventist HealthCare system in the Mid-Atlantic area.
