On Sunday, September 23, the Glen Burnie Seventh-day Adventist Church invited their neighbors to attend a community day full of fun, games, and food. The Prayer Committee sponsored the event.

The Glen Burnie Volunteer Fire Department came with a fire engine to teach the young people home fire safety. Children were reminded that they should memorize their home address, and they learned how to call 911. About 200 people enjoyed international food as well as vegetarian hot dogs and hamburgers provided by the members.

Pastor Diego Boquer thanked the firefighters for coming and prayed to ask God’s blessing on them as they do their dangerous but necessary work in the Glen Burnie community. The moon bounce was a particular treat for the young people as well.

In the midst of all the fun, the visitors were reminded that the church is hosting a series of evangelistic meetings soon. The church stands ready to serve the Glen Burnie community and demonstrate the love of the Lord Jesus Christ.
