Millie has been administrative assistant to the president since April 1990. She began her denominational work in 1974 at the Mountain View Conference in West Virginia. After working there for one year, she moved to Maryland and worked in various departments of Columbia Union Conference for 15 years before coming to Chesapeake. Working for the church for so many years has been a wonderful experience for her and she thanks God for the opportunity and for all the wonderful friends she has made and worked with.  Her husband thinks she knows everyone, which is not true, but that is the way it feels when you’re an Adventist – it’s a small world. 

Millie and her husband, Hugh, attend the Spencerville Seventh-day Adventist Church in Silver Spring, Maryland, where they are both actively involved.  They love being a part of the warm, friendly 1,500 member church. Millie is a greeter on Sabbath mornings, an assistant Sabbath School Secretary, and is very involved in the Deaconess Ministry.   Her husband sings in the church choir.
